Health, Safety & Allergy Policy
At Spring Project L.A., your child’s safety is our absolute priority. We maintain a vigilant environment to ensure that every meal and snack is safe and nutritious.
Our facility is a Nut-Aware Zone. To protect our students with severe life-threatening allergies, we do not serve or allow products containing peanuts or tree nuts within the program.
Mandatory Disclosure: Upon enrollment, parents must provide a detailed list of any known food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions.
Emergency Action Plan: For children with severe allergies (requiring an EpiPen), we require a signed medical action plan from your pediatrician and a current, unexpired EpiPen to be kept on-site.
Our Spring Fuel Program follows strict food-handling protocols:
Separate preparation areas and utensils for children with specific sensitivities.
Strict hand-washing routines before and after all meal times.
Labeled individual meal containers to prevent any mix-ups.
While our standard menu is balanced and kid-friendly, we are happy to discuss substitutions for:
Dairy-free requirements.
Gluten sensitivities.
Vegetarian/Vegan preferences.
Please note: Some highly specialized diets may require parents to supplement specific food items.
"We eat together, we stay safe together."
DEPC.
All our staff is CPR and First Aid certified, with specific training in recognizing and responding to allergic reactions.
